Adidas dives-in into metaverse

Adidas Originals has officially made its debut NFT collection, marking its first step towards the Metaverse.


Owners will then receive exclusive access to Adidas Originals experiences in The Sandbox and to the products including free collaborative merchandise. Physical products are co-branded with the aforementioned trio of collaborators.


Adidas NFT “Into the Metaverse” is co-created with Bored Ape Yacht Club, gmoney, and PUNKS Comic, and are available for purchase from December 17.



Each of the NFTs is selling for 0.2 ETH, which is about $800 USD, and officially are available on the Adidas metaverse website. At the moment of writing, Adidas has already sold 29,620 NFTs what makes more than $23 million in profit.



First steps into metaverse were made earlier when Adidas purchased artwork from Bored Ape Yacht Club and invested in The Sandbox experience.


According to the Adidas press release, the digital and physical wearables will be available from 2022.
