Southeast Asia’s first virtual influencer Rae has debuted animated NFT artworks on Mintable marketplace.

Rae is Singapore’s top CGI influencer with more than 500,000 followers on Instagram and Weibo. Her was appearance was captured at the end of 2020, and since then she has had a chance to collaborate with different artists and even get a haircut by celebrity hair maestro, Kim Robinson. Her recent collaboration was made with Audi for the new A3 release.

Rae is one of the firsts virtual influencers to release collectible Non-fungible tokens or NFTs. NFTs are digital assets such as images, audio, or video files with authenticity and ownership that come verified and secured on the blockchain.

As a virtual being, I stay connected with my fans via social media. Tapping on blockchain and cryptocurrency technologies has enabled me to uncover a new nexus to forge a stronger connection with them. By sharing these limited-edition collectibles with my loyal fans, they would have something to hold onto, or even trade, for years to come.

- Rae says to Vogue Singapore

The first NFT will be available as a three-piece animated artwork series called “Take A Byte”, where the purchaser revives an AI-generated personalized audio message from the new celebrity.

Bidding is held on Mintable and each animated NFT artwork in the “TAKE A BYTE” series starts at US$350 (about 0.155 ETH1).
